'm not gonna lie, I used to hate that phrase. Date night sounded like just one more thing I was failing at. Like if I didn't have a scheduled weekly date night with a corresponding bangin' outfit (I guess that's a thing?) then my marriage was doomed.
I’d like to tell you a little about my mother-in-law.
Today was her last day of a very successful 22 year career as a medical coder. And while there is no doubt in my mind the people that worked with her, for her and around her will miss her terribly, around here we are jumping for joy.
I am not quite sure where my lack of fear comes from; it's not like my parents were the ones saying "you can be anything you want to be." They were more the type to say "the harder you work, the better you'll be."
